It’s time for the Kids Heart Challenge, the American Heart Association program that teaches students in 38,000 schools nationwide valuable lessons that will last a lifetime, such as:

  • Students learn about the importance of the heart – how it works, and how to take care of it: Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death in America? We can change that – 80% of risk factors for heart disease are preventable. Each Heart Hero teaches healthy habits for life!
  • Students learn the importance of helping others through this service learning project and has the ability to make a difference. We’re challenging them to take their own heart challenge and asking them to share that message with others.
  • Students feel good for making a difference in people’s lives! Funds raised support American Heart Association’s research and education initiatives that save lives in our community. Funded research and advancements have changed and saved their lives! The American Heart Association has been able to work with health care providers to reduce the number of people dying from heart disease and stroke by 25% and those achievements are all because of lifesaving donations your students have raised.

Please join Hale Elementary in the fight against heart disease. Our goal is to have 100% of our students take their heart healthy challenge online. When a student takes the challenge, they will become an official member of the Heart Heroes. All tax-deductible donations are important as we are trying to meet our goal of $50,000.00 this year, which saves 1000 lives. Last year, we raised $48,000.00 and were able to save not only 960 lives, but came in 1st in the state for top fundraising schools! Let’s make Hale the top fundraising school in the state again!
